What are asteroids and meteoroids?
Asteroids and meteoroids are like the leftovers from when our solar system was formed about 4.6 billion years ago [2]. Asteroids are the bigger space rocks—larger than a meter across—while meteoroids are the smaller pebble-sized pieces floating around in space [1][3].
