ELI5: diabetes

high confidence

// explanation
// eli5Diabetes is like when your body's sugar tank gets too full and stays too full. Your pancreas makes a special helper called insulin that's supposed to take the sugar from your blood and put it into your cells to use as energy [2][4]. But in diabetes, either your pancreas doesn't make enough helper, or your body ignores the helper, so the sugar just keeps building up in your blood like water overflowing from a bathtub [2][4].
